Château Philippe le Hardi

Intimately linked to the history of Burgundy, the Château de Santenay takes the name of Philippe le Hardi, prestigious Duke of Burgundy, who took possession of the place in 1372. We owe to this Duke of Burgundy, the Ordinance of 1395, founding act of monocepage viticulture in Burgundy with Pinot Noir.

With 98 ha on 35 prestigious climates, the Domaine du Château Philippe le Hardi is one of the largest in Burgundy and presents a rare combination of terrois from the Côte d'Or to the Côte Chalonnaise.
